City Council Will Consider Labor Agreements at the June 16 City Council Meeting

Beverly Hills, CA (June 2, 2020) – The Beverly Hills City Council will consider the memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with the Safety Support Association and Firefighters’ Association at the Tuesday, June 16, 2020 City Council Formal Session beginning at 7:00 p.m. and available to view at beverlyhills.org/live.   

In accordance with state law, the City of Beverly Hills participates in labor negotiations with its employee associations. The results of the negotiations process are written agreements or contracts reached between the City and the City employee associations.  These agreements are commonly referred to as MOUs.

The Safety Support and Firefighters’ MOUs have been ratified by the respective employee associations and are subject to the adoption of the City Council on June 16.  The proposed Safety Support Association MOU covers salaries and benefits for a four-year period, and the proposed Firefighters’ Association MOU covers salaries and benefits for a five year and eight month period. 

The MOUs, independent fiscal analyses, and summaries of significant terms are posted on the City’s website at https://www.beverlyhills.org/negotiations/
